SoftSkillsGAP

What Is SoftSkillsGap

SoftSkillsGap is an Erasmus+ KA220 project that addresses the growing gap between the soft skills taught in Vocational Education and Training (VET) and those actually demanded by today’s labour market.

Working across eight partner countries, the project studies how VET graduates transition into employment and which interpersonal and transversal competences — communication, teamwork, problem-solving, adaptability and more — they most need to succeed.

Drawing on surveys with over 500 students, teachers and employers, SoftSkillsGap identifies the most critical and underserved soft skills and turns that evidence into practical tools:

  • An in-depth study of the soft skills gap;
  • A collection of good practices and ready-to-use lesson plans;
  • Training for teachers and «ambassadors» who champion soft skills;
  • A supporting e-learning platform.

Its goal is to equip VET educators with the skills, methods and resources to teach soft skills effectively within their own subject areas, helping the next generation of graduates enter the workforce better prepared.
