WIM APPELS AWARD

Wim strongly believed that InnMain should be an association that highlights the vital role of teachers, who are the engines of schools.

To honor his legacy, Innmain promotes the Wim Appels Award, which will recognize educators who demonstrate exemplary professionalism.

Dagmar Najslova – KABA

Dagmar Najslova is the director of the Secondary Technical School in Martin, with experience as an electrotechnical teacher since 1980 and as director since 2015. She has coordinated student science projects (SOČ) and actively works on improving vocational education (VET), promoting creativity and critical thinking. She signed cooperation agreements with universities, introduced a new study field in Networking and IT, participated in Erasmus+ programs, and prevented the school from closing in 2023/24.

Marek Różański – ZSE Krakov

Marek Różański serves as a teacher at the ZSE school in Kraków, combining his teaching duties with the development of innovative projects in aeromechanics and satellite technology. Under his mentorship, students design and launch functional prototypes that collect key parameters in a controlled orbit. Thanks to this impact, Marek’s work has transcended the classroom, gaining widespread external recognition and positioning the school as a highly attractive hub for those passionate about electronics.
Rules and Regulations
Every partner can nominate one teacher of the school for the Wim Appels Award;
The nominee must have achieved something exceptional in the field of Vocational Education and Training: teaching innovation, quality initiatives in VET, international activities, solidarity programs, apprenticeships etc.;
The college of the nominee applying for the award sends a report about the achievements of the nominee;
The nominee must present themselves with a pitch during the annual meeting of Innmain.
The jury
The jury consists of teachers;
Every partner can select 1 teacher as jury member;
 The jury members assemble during the Annual meeting;
The jury member is excluded from voting if the nominee originates from the same school.
